STOREGGA

Playtest

Join the playtest

STOREGGA is in pre-alpha, and we test it with players early. The playtest is Line War: humans in submarines against Vael riders on sharks, online, in one small arena. It looks rough on purpose. What we need to know is how it plays.

Build 7 trailer, in-engine footage. Music: “Depths of 2071” by BHave, made with Google Flow Music (AI).

What the current build brings, and what comes next: changelog.

How it works

  1. Sign up below and confirm the e-mail we send you.
  2. We open the playtest in waves. When yours opens, a second e-mail brings your tester access: a personal tester token and a download link.
  3. Install the game, start Steam, and paste your token in the game under Play, then Join a match.
  4. Join a match, or come to a playtest night on our Discord, where we play together.

What you need

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • A graphics card of the GeForce GTX 1650 class or comparable, with 4 GB of video memory and DirectX 12.
  • A 6-core processor from 2019 or newer, and 8 GB of RAM.
  • A Steam account, with Steam running while you play. Until STOREGGA has its own Steam app, the playtest borrows Valve's test app, so Steam may show you as playing “Spacewar”.
  • An internet connection. Discord helps, but you do not need it.

No RTX card is needed: without hardware ray tracing the game lights the scene in software. These are preliminary figures from the current development build; the final requirements come with the release. The download is small today, and its final size is set at release.

What we ask of you

  • Treat your tester token like a password: do not share or post it. We never ask you for it.
  • Tell us how it plays: in the game under Feedback, or in #bug-reports on Discord.
  • Expect bugs, unfinished art and unfinished sound. That is what the test is for.

What the game sends us

To run the match list and balance the game, the game sends match results, your Steam ID and Steam name, and basic facts about your PC such as the graphics card and frame rate. It never sends your e-mail address. Details are in the privacy policy.

Much of STOREGGA is made with the help of AI; the press kit says what and how.
